55+ Club

Engagement. Vitality. Respect.

We are based in the Small Heath area of Birmingham and have been meeting up for over 10 years. Our objective is to prevent isolation, offer against depressions, provide a friendly and caring environment for the elderly in the community and to share experiences and to be heard and listened to.

At 55+ Club, over the years, we have had the pleasure of engaging in a variety of activities such as visiting The Back-to-Back Victorian Homes, Black Victorian Exhibition, Aston Hall, Stratford upon Avon, Botanical Gardens, the television programme ‘Can’t Cook Won’t Cook’ and supporting fund raising events such as The Lord Mayor’s Banquet.

We partake in practical activities such as rug making, cushion covers, knitting and sewing. We have also had several guest speakers from different professions – Fire Prevention, healthy eating, exercise sessions and many more.
